Photo-project

 
As a result of the workshop on the 8^th and 9^th  of February 2007 in Sibiu the following project was suggested:

 
The Assignment:

Take hold of a moment expressed through social movement and confrontation in an urban environment in Sibiu. This should be done applied by photographic media. The architectural space should be illustrated by means of photography. The result must be presented with digital recording media.

Project description:

1.     finding the motif and taking the photo
Take a picture of the city in motion from one perspective. The setting should be chosen (from an archway or a front yard) and from there than taken (in regular intervals). The association of a surveillance camera is meant to be, place the camera in a central area of Sibiu. The background scene should be architecturally representing the city Sibiu. The passing individuals become the main theme of the photograph. The picture is made up of three main elements 1. the archway, 2. the passing individuals and 3. the interesting architectural building.

2.     finishing process and the selection
The photos which were chosen have to be edited and afterwards saved on a digital medium. The criteria for choosing are the quality and social quality of the photography. Bad weather, light proportion and the absence of depth of focus can affect the quality. The social movement should have a meaningful motive (e.g. a couple that are hugging, old people engaged in conversation etc.) which is better, than for example passing tourists.

3. Composition and accomplishing the exhibition
The material should be presented via a data medium, a reproducer and a Video Beamer
